#30661 php5-soap extension not available in fastcgi binary ryandesign@… defect Normal ports

Reported by axolx@…, 4 years ago.

Description

The classes provided by the SOAP PHP extension are not available on cgi, but are available in the command line binary. Both are using the same php.ini. The soap extension shows in the phpinfo() for the command line, but not fastcgi. php throws no errors in fastcgi until i try to instantiate a class provided by the SOAP extensions. I recompiled both php5 and php5-soap. I am running the following versions:

php5 @5.3.6_0+fastcgi+pear
php5-soap @5.3.6_0
lighttpd @1.4.28_0+cml+ssl

Could the SOAP extension not be compiling for the fastcgi binary?

Let me know if I can provide any further information.

#30668 Gperf 3.0.4 - OS Lion - universal binary error? macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by will.pearse@…, 4 years ago.

Description

Hello,

I've been trying to get this to work for a while, but after some debugging, the most helpful output I can get is the following:

sudo port install gperf
Error: Requested variants "" do not match original selection "+universal".
Please use the same variants again, perform 'port clean gperf' or specify the force option (-f).
Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.

If I install from fresh, like this:

sudo port install gperf
--->  Fetching archive for gperf
--->  Attempting to fetch gperf-3.0.4_2.darwin_11.x86_64.tbz2 from http://packages.macports.org/gperf
--->  Fetching gperf
--->  Verifying checksum(s) for gperf
--->  Extracting gperf
--->  Applying patches to gperf
--->  Configuring gperf
--->  Building gperf
--->  Staging gperf into destroot
--->  Installing gperf @3.0.4_2
--->  Activating gperf @3.0.4_2
--->  Cleaning gperf

...it works fine, so presumably it's something to do with the universal binaries. I've seen a few other tickets related to this - unless this is something very strange I'm doing, could this be a general bug? I'm on a 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro, with XCode 4.1 installed.

Thanks very much!

#30669 blitz-devel @0.10 Request for new portfile inclusion macports-tickets@… submission Normal ports

Reported by andre.dos.anjos@…, 4 years ago.

Description

I have written and tested a portfile that will install the latest version of blitz++ (from its mercurial repository) available. Blitz++ is a great library, but the current existing version, for which there exists a portfile (math/blitz), is very old and does not compile with more recent versions of gcc. This would allow developers to continue using blitz and upgrade their compile support, w/o touching people that would like to stick with the official version of blitz++.

Would it be possible to have it included in the distribution?

#30701 rsnapshot: switch to depending on port:perl5 mww@… enhancement Normal ports

Reported by ecronin@…, 4 years ago.

Description

rsnapshot doesn't build any perl modules, it just needs a perl to use for make and then a perl to use in the shebangs, which could/should be the one provided by the perl5 metaport.

Also, none of the perl scripts in examples currently have correct shebangs and use either /usr/bin/perl or /usr/bin/env perl (although they have other hardcoded path issues and missing perl modle deps as well so this is only a partial fix)

#30702 py27-ipython: No module named Shell akitada@… defect Normal ports

Reported by njbutko@…, 4 years ago.

Description

I recently installed py27-ipython. On starting it, I receive the following error:

$ /opt/local/bin/ipython-2.7
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/opt/local/bin/ipython-2.7", line 27, in <module>
    import IPython.Shell
ImportError: No module named Shell

Googling, I found: https://github.com/ipython/ipython/issues/286

This suggests that the ipython-2.7 script itself is out of date.

Replacing

import IPython.Shell
IPython.Shell.start().mainloop()

with

import IPython
IPython.embed()

in /opt/local/bin/ipython-2.7 seems to fix the problem, and give a normal ipython shell.

It should be updated to "Unified_DSDK_8.0_darwin10.universal.gccA42.tgz". So the install script also should be updated.

#30715 mod_perl2 fails to install on Lion (with solution) ryan@… defect Normal ports

Reported by lbn@…, 4 years ago.

Description

When installing Apache2 (needed for mod_perl) Perl5.12 gets installed.

Perl5.12 is configured without USE_ITHREAD, which cause mod_perl2 to fail.

I recompiled perl5.12 with USE_ITHREAD defined in config.h, now mod_perl2 installs

#30719 xmlresume2x @0.1.0 Checksum error macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by macports@…, 4 years ago.

Description

Hi, I'm trying to install XMLResume2X on Lion but I get a checksum error.

A closer look at the log seems to indicate the file cannot be fetched.

I tried downloading it manually on macports.org but I couldn't find it there either.

Is this port no longer available? Should it simply be deleted from the port list?

#30720 Use unified py-spyder portfile to supply py26-spyder macports-tickets@… enhancement Normal ports

Reported by eborisch@…, 4 years ago.

Description

This ticket serves as a request for the current maintainer of py26-spyder to do this, and to (optionally) take ownership of py-spyder.

This entails deleting py26-spyder and modifying py-spyder to include 26 in its python.versions line in addition to 25 and 27. (Currently commented out.)

In the process, this will also upgrade py26-spyder to 2.0.12, add some useful dependencies, and correctly locate pylint-X.Y (and correctly parse its output.)

#30723 port install gcc46 +gfortran +universal (failed during build on Mac OS X 10.7 lion) macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by annacegu@…, 4 years ago.

Description

Hi,

I am not able to build using the following command: port install gcc46 +gfortran +universal

This is on a recently purchased MacBook Pro, with OS X 10.7 lion.

This is part of the main.log file generated, it's too large to copy in its entirety: (/opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_lang_gcc46/gcc46/main.log)

Please help... I have tried compiling gcc & gfortran myself and it's an uphill battle... I would like it done by macports instead.

Regards, Anna.

#30728 epspdf does not work after latest texlive updates dports@… defect Normal ports

Reported by wchan212@…, 4 years ago.

Description

I recently did a sudo port update outated -- which also updated my texlive-pictures package and my epspdf stops working.

I get this error.

/opt/local/bin/epspdf:81:in `require': no such file to load -- epspdfrc (LoadError)
	from /opt/local/bin/epspdf:81

I am not familiar w/ Ruby... but taking a look @ /opt/local/bin/epspdf:81

Then going to /opt/local and do a find . -name 'epspdfrc' ... I found nothing... looks like someone forgot to include that file into the macport?

#30737 octave-devel: error: 'CGDisplayBitsPerPixel' was not declared in this scope michaelld@… defect Normal ports

I tried installing octave-devel on an OSX 10.7 machine both before and after the Portfile mods of 8/12/2011. It failed with the same error both times:

:info:build display.cc:73:46: error: 'CGDisplayBitsPerPixel' was not declared in this scope

The log file is over 10 MB long so I just attached the last partl I wasn't sure how much to include so I'll send more if necessary. I'm using Macports 2.01 on a MacBook Air. I installed octave-devel on my iMac under Snow Leopard and it still works under Lion.

#30738 vnStat @ 1.10 > Please update to current 1.11 and.damore@… update Normal ports

Reported by bitmail@…, 4 years ago.

Description

Hello,

I'd like to request an update for MacPorts vnStat from version 1.10 to the current 1.11.

Changelog:

1.11 / 1-Jun-11

 - Fix: Memory allocation was miscalculated when creating interface list from
   /sys/class/net when /proc/net/dev wasn't available which in turn could
   crash the daemon
 - Fix: Daemon database cache could remain empty after a -HUP signal
 - Fix: Don't make temp directory in vnstat.cgi writable for everyone
 - Import GNU/kFreeBSD support from Debian
   (#608963, patch by Mats Erik Andersson)
 - Remove usage of GNU only '-D' option for install for BSD in Makefile
 - The daemon now automatically creates databases for available interfaces
   if no databases are found during startup

Thanks!

#30739 selfupdate should not run portindex when base is outdated macports-tickets@… defect Normal MacPorts 2.0.2 base

Reported by ryandesign@…, 4 years ago.

Description

selfupdate syncs the ports tree and then builds the new version of MacPorts. Which means that you've got a new ports tree, full of ports that have new MacPorts 2.0 commands, trying to be parsed by MacPorts 1.9.2, failing, generating tons of errors while trying to build the new portindex:

Adding port textproc/xercesc3
Failed to parse file textproc/xmlcatmgr/Portfile: invalid command name "installs_libs"
Adding port textproc/xmlresume2x
Failed to parse file textproc/xmlto/Portfile: invalid command name "installs_libs"
Adding port www/ZendFramework

selfupdate should first update base, then sync the ports tree with that new version of base. Or if it's not possible to relaunch itself, then it should exit after updating base and tell the user to run selfupdate again.

Description

The embedded docs will not launch from within spyder. The developer discovered the problem and it's quite simple: they forgot to add the file protocol

#30745 xdvipdfmx not able to use /System/Library/*.dfont fonts, freetype --with-old-mac-fonts involved dports@… defect Normal ports

Reported by pguyot@…, 4 years ago.

Description

xdvipdfmx (port texlive-bin) is tricked into believing it is not configured on a Mac. The reason is that it needs FreeType function FT_GetFilePath_From_Mac_ATS_Name, which is only provided with FreeType 2.4.6 if configured with --with-old-mac-fonts.

As a result, xdvipdfmx cannot work with MacOS-specific font files, including both old (resource-based) fonts and new (data-fork based) fonts, such as /System/Library/*.dfont (e.g. Helvetica and Helvetica Neue in 10.6.8).

FreeType is no longer compiled with --with-old-mac-fonts since r42513 because of bug #15909.

If the conflict with gd2 is still present, we could make this a variant of freetype. If it is not, I believe we should provide freetype with-old-mac-fonts by default as we used to.

Attached are conservative diffs with a variant for freetype and texlive-bin.

#30746 molmol doesn't display graphical widgets under Lion macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by howarth@…, 4 years ago.

Description

The molmol program doesn't display its widgets or menus under Lion. This issue looks identical to the problems seen in [MacPorts] #21835: molmol 2k2.0 when the package was originally submitted. At that time, a batch of xorg updates in MacPorts either fixed that problem or it just went latent. Note that this issue occurs both against the X11 from Lion as well as the Xquartz 2.7.0 beta1. It occurs with the MacPorts xorg packages as well as under fink with the Lion X11 packages.

#30756 sqliteman: install app bundle ryandesign@… enhancement Normal ports

Reported by tvb377@…, 4 years ago.

Description

sqliteman did not install as an app bundle.

The following Portfile patch manually creates an app bundle together with the files to be installed into files_dir.

I could not figure if there is a more elegant way to make an app bundle from this software.

At least it seems to work the way I implemented it.

#30759 app portgroup ryandesign@… request Normal ports

Reported by ryandesign@…, 4 years ago.

Description

Create an "app" portgroup, to create an application in ${applications_dir}, optionally with an icon. (Currently we copy blocks of code into portfiles to do this, for example r82472.)

The portgroup should expose a number of options, including:

  • app.name (the name that will appear in the Finder; default computed based on ${name} (for example, if ${name} is all lowercase, use [string totitle ${name}], otherwise use ${name})
  • app.executable (the executable to run; default ${name}; can be absolute path within ${destroot} or relative (to ${prefix}/bin) in which case a symlink to it is made, or can be absolute path in ${worksrcpath} or ${filespath} in which case it is copied and used directly)
  • app.icon (the icns file to use; default empty; can be set to an existing icns file, or any other graphics file that makeicns can turn into an icns file)
  • app.identifier (a valid CFBundleIdentifier; default computed based on ${homepage} and ${app.name})
