RFE: freetype @2.3.1_0: should enable 'otvalid' module by default.

I don't know why, but FreeType's 'otvalid' module seems to be disabled by default in 2.3.x.

Since this module is required to access the OpenType GSUB table, some software like xdvik (xdvi with Japanese support) cannot handle characters used in Japanese vertical script correctly after upgrading FreeType.

Anyway, could you take a look into these screenshots? I believe you can find something wrong even if you don't understand Japanese. ;-)

Here is a patch to enable 'otvalid' module. Please apply this patch if there is no problem.
