Description

I get the following error when I use macports to install a several different packages (nco, bison, and many more)

Unable to execute port: invalid command name "configure.cppflags"

Why do I get this error and how can I fix it?

From man portfile I know that configure.cppflags can be used to overwrite/add flags for the compilation step (those are noted in various portfiles). Now what I don't know is why this error pops up, as I'm not developing macports. Maybe your version of macports is slightly out of date? (rough guess)

This has been fixed as far as I know. Make sure to run a 'port selfupdate'. If you are still experiencing a problem, tell us what port you are installing.
