NOT fetching whirlgif — at Initial Version

Description
I have a MacBook (intel; 2GHz) and have installed MacPorts in order to install AFNI. I have the most recent version of MacPorts (1.5); after selfupdating. Here's what I get when trying to install AFNI:
[net-144-147:~/Desktop] quintino% csh update_mri_ports.txt Fetching ports trees... MD5 checksums OK. Unpacking... Creating software index in /opt/local/MacPorts_MRI couldn't open "/opt/local/MacPorts_MRI/PortIndex": permission denied
while executing

You can now install any of the ports added above using:
sudo nice port install <portname>.
