The configurepipe knob in macports.conf added in r30824 should be able to be overridden in a Portfile with configure.pipe. The variable is missing from the options list in line 58 of portconfigure.tcl, however, so it throws a parse error in any Portfile actually containing it. Adding configure.pipe to the list of options seems to be all thats needed, but I am by no means certain.
