i used the patch from http://ephemera.continuation.org/patches/emacs-leopard-unexec.patch and it compiled.

Confirmed that the referenced patch allows one to build and run emacs on Mac OS X 10.5.1 (Leopard) Intel.
Attaching (trivial) patch to Portfile.
Can someone please promote this commit? The MacPort Emacs port has now been broken some two months since the release of Leopard.
