Description
In order to solve #13985, I tried to reach the maintainer of python23 (mwdiers@…). I got no response neither on the ticket nor on an offsite email. Therefore, python23 has to be considered abandoned.
Do we want to keep this port? Could it be deleted as we also provide python24 and python25? There are only a few ports depending on python23 and I think they sure could be updated.

Set the maintainer to nomaintainer in r34428.
