port file for icon-naming-utils seems broken in various ways

trying to install gnumeric with sudo port install gnumeric.

among other dependencies, this pulls in icon-naming-utils:

first attempt to fetch icon-naming-utils-0.8.6.tar.bz2 goes to ​http://tango-project.org which is down right now. specifically, attempt to get tarball is made to ​http://tango-project.org/releases/ which Google no longer has in its cache.

files in ​http://tango-project.org/codeblog/ are still cached by Google with some retrieval dates as old as Dec 28, 2007 04:05:21 GMT, and others as new as Feb 26, 2008 07:02:20 GMT. only about 20 links cached by Google at site:tango-project.org.

subsequent attempts to fetch tarball are made to the macports repository, all of which fail.

the first hit when Googling for "tango project" is ​http://tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Desktop_Project so perhaps the port file needs to have some changes made. if i had the skills, i'd do it myself, but i don't.

i did a port selfupdate and port sync before trying this.

But... how can I take advantage of that fix? I did another port sync, but it still fails with the same error...

Well, I just modified the Portfile on my system as a work-around for now, and that worked for me, but I'm sure that change will get over-written on my next sync. I see no mention of overlays in man port. Is there a more correct way to do this?

Commits so SVN take a few hours after they are available per rsync. Be patient.
