Not installing fullly?

Reported by: jus10mar10@… Owned by: macports-tickets@…
Priority: Normal Milestone: MacPorts 1.7.0
Component: base Version: 1.6.0
Keywords: Command Not Found Cc:
Port:

Description

I have just installed XCode 2.4.1 and the Tiger version of MacPorts. I have had X11 installed for a while as well. When I open terminal and try anything Sudo Port it says Sudo: Port: Command not Found. If I only do a Port command, it says -Bash Port: Command Not Found. Is MacPorts not installing fully?

This is a known issue with the installer (it's meant to add /opt/local/bin to your PATH environment variable), and it is fixed for the next release. In the meantime, you can download and run  this script.

Upgrading to XCode 2.5 is also recommended BTW, though not required.
