Description
Adding a variant in order to add ARPACK support. The model can be used in order to add variants to every sandbox module

After building with the +arpack variant the test suite fails with a Bus Error on Intel Leopard for me, whereas without the +arpack variant it succeeds. What platform are you running and does the test suite pass for you with the +arpack variant?

Another question; are you using the default gcc43 fortran compiler variant, or gcc42?

On the first comment, I'm still using tiger and I was expecting ARPACK to fail some tests (as it does on Tiger) as it is still on the sandbox but a Bus Error is to much. I'm using gcc42

I get the same Bus Error using gcc42, must be a Leopard issue.

I've added the crash log I get on Intel Leopard for this crash on running the test suite.
