Description
The vcp program is no longer available online, so the Portfile no longer builds.
I think it should be obsoleted without changing the revision number (so that people who already have it installed don't have to uninstall it).
I am attaching a Portfile that does this.

Actually the author seems to have just changed ISPs, and a newer version is available here: http://members.iinet.net.au/~lynx/vcp/

Humh, I had somehow missed that link. I am attaching an updated Portfile for vcp 2.2. I haven't found a "homepage" for this port though.
Thank you for the distfile fix for 1.6.1 ; it works fine.

Actually, the distfiles mirror got it from svn after I added it. :) Besides which, having it on the distfiles mirror doesn't help MP 1.6.0 users.

The current maintainer doesn't appear to have been heard from in 5 years, and hasn't responded to my email. So I removed him when I committed the update in r37828. (thomasv, if you are still interested in maintaining vcp, just email me and I'll re-add you.)
