i386-mingw32-binutils 2.16.91-20060119-1 Build Error

Reported by: john-dev@… Owned by: landonf (Landon Fuller)
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 1.6.0
Keywords: mingw32 makeinfo Cc: john-dev@…
Port: i386-mingw32-binutils

Description

This is a dependency of i386-mingw32-gcc which I am trying to build. The error apparently occurs when building the info. A similar error appears in i386-elf-gcc ticket #15113 which was closed two weeks ago, but there is no indication as to the nature of the problem or a work-around.

WARNING: `makeinfo' is missing on your system. You should only need it if
you modified a `.texi' or `.texinfo' file, or any other file
indirectly affecting the aspect of the manual. The spurious
call might also be the consequence of using a buggy `make' (AIX,
DU, IRIX). You might want to install the `Texinfo' package or
the `GNU make' package. Grab either from any GNU archive site.
