Description
It would be nice if python_select would also create a symlink for 'ipython' linking to ipython2.5 (or whatever version of python is installed) if the ipython port is installed.

python_select was created to switch between python versions itself, I don't want to add functionality beyond that because this really should be moved into base. Adding ipython would create dangling symlinks on systems which do not have py*-ipython installed.
port select in trunk is able to do exactly the same as python_select, it is yet missing support for a more extendable interface, e.g. registering files in specific groups from ports instead of static maps.
