nedit crashes on startup

I have just done: Clean install of Macports 1.7.0 

sudo -v port selfupdate
sudo -v port xorg
sudo -v port install emacs+x11
sudo -v port install nedit

When attempting to start nedit I get 

UTF8 locale not supported.
No type converter registered for 'BtnMotion' to 'MouseMoved' conversion.
No type converter registered for 'TranslationTable' to 'MouseMoved' conversion.
No type converter registered for 'BtnMotion' to 'Keymap' conversion.
Bus error

I enclose the crash.

I am running Xquartz 2.3.2.1 on my machine.

I have the same problem, after that error I see that X11 stays open.

I have no problems while installing nedit but get the same error as you when trying to runnit

The latest revision of nedit does not link against the system X11 libs, so this particular crash shouldn't happen.
