GNAT build with external compiler fails

Reported by: anddam (Andrea D'Amore) Owned by: krischik@…
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 1.7.1
Keywords: Cc:
Port: gnat-gcc

Description

gnat-gcc +macada fails to build even if macada's 4.3 compiler for PPC is installed.

I'm attaching a small part of the very long output, the most significative part is the expliti bug note that asks for feedback, has this ever be experienced?

Can I workaround this? I'm using compiler from macada.org as bootstrap to build macports'.

Hello,

Sorry to say but I don't support PowerPC. I don't have the Hardware so I can't.

What I can do is to suggest you do what the Error message says: "Please submit a bug report; see http://gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html.". Because this is clearly a compiler bug which needs to be fixed by the compiler vendor.

Regards

Martin

PS: But what I will do it upgrade to GCC 4.4
