Looks like something is wrong with your perl, what is the output from

$ port installed perl5 perl5.8

comment:5 Changed 15 years ago by ewira@…

here is the output of the command:

The following ports are currently installed:
  perl5.8 @5.8.8_0+darwin_8
  perl5.8 @5.8.8_2+darwin_8
  perl5.8 @5.8.8_3+darwin_8

Odd, none are active. You could activate the latest listed there, but I'd suggest installing the latest version of perl5.8 first, which is @5.8.9_3. Once that's installed, then try mlterm again.

perl5.8 @5.8.9_3 is now activated, and the result of the port -d install mlterm is :

Resolution: fixed
Status: assignedclosed

I see this issue was reported in December 2007 on the mlterm mailing list where they also show how it has already been fixed in the mlterm source code repository. Too bad they never made another release of the software to get the fix into the hands of their users.

I committed the fix to the mlterm port in r55893. Please "sudo port sync" and try again.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
