Do you really need python 2.4? We already have ports for 2.5 (py25-pyrxp) and 2.6 (py26-pyrxp).
Looking at all the existing py25-* and py26-* ports, this seem indeed not essential to have it. Still I can well imagine some dependencies on this port, though I personally no longer need it.

Do you really need python 2.4? We already have ports for 2.5 (py25-pyrxp) and 2.6 (py26-pyrxp).
