Description
tiff should be updated to the long-awaited 3.9.0. It is supposed to be binary-compatible with 3.8.2 so this upgrade should not cause problems for any other ports.
(The upcoming 4.0.0 release will, however, break compatibility.)

Hold up: the 3.9.0 release is apparently flawed.
I deliberately waited a week after the release before filing the ticket, and then the message about its problems came through the mailing list a couple hours later. :-/
