Build Log:
On Mac OS X 10.5, tiff 3.8.2 requires Xcode 3.1 or later but you have Xcode 3.0. Error: Target org.macports.extract returned: incompatible Xcode version Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.
*php5 failed to build because of this

I'm sorry, made a mistake. I was looking at the wrong machine version of xcode. I did a fresh install of leopard 10.5 and xcode on a networked machine, and thought the xcode automatically updated to 3.2 with software updater. I guess not.

I don't understand. That check is specific to Leopard, and 3.1.x is still the required Xcode version on Leopard. There's no need to have a similar check for Snow Leopard, since 3.2 is the only option.
What OS and Xcode version do you currently have?
