I still have the problem of Ticket #18755 with gmp 4.3.1_1 on ppc.

The problem from ticket #18755 is not resolved by 4.3.1_1, it still occurs here after port clean gmp ; port install gmp. See attached log.

    configure.build_arch

to pre-configure phase led to correct CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS variables on my mac. Kudos to blb.
