libmad builds wrong libs on SnowLeopard when build_arch is i386

Description
On Snow Leopard, set macports.conf build_arch to i386 then install libmad.
It builds all the object files as i386, but builds an x86_64 library.
Build log attached, see the "file is not of required architecture" errors.

I think this was fixed when libmad was made universal in r57217
