molden: update to 4.8

Reported by: ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt) Owned by: jochen@…
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 1.8.0
Keywords: Cc:
Port: molden

Description

I already committed a few other more minor updates, but I figured I should run this one by you before committing. Here is the commit message I was going to use which describes what all is done:

molden: update to 4.8, also install some more doc files, always link with MacPorts X11 instead of just in the opengl variant, no longer hardcode /opt/local in opengl variant, remove Xcode 3.0 libGL.dylib workaround and require Xcode 3.1 on Leopard, use configure.compiler and add gcc43 and gcc44 variants with gcc43 the default because that is what was used for the previous port version; gcc44 can become the default later

I don't know if the developers are still going to be doing those frequent stealth updates we saw in version 4.6. I left that machinery in the port for now.

Hi Ryan,

I had seen all these, looked good.

This also looks good to me. I started a gcc43 compile on my Mac Pro running 10.6.1 to check it and will report later.

I don't know if the developers are still going to be doing those frequent stealth updates we saw in version 4.6. I left that machinery in the port for now.

It's likely, but we can hope for the best.

FYI I tested all four variant combinations on my MacBook Pro with 10.6.1 and they all compiled and opened. Not sure how to use the software once it's open but the menu buttons seemed to respond at least.

Works for me on z86_64 with 64bit kernel as well... Please commit. Thank you for your efforts!
