Latest revision (58379) fails to build on PPC architecture giving error message: 

Error: You cannot install freetype for the architecture(s) ppc

Universal and Bytecode variants fail similarly.
Previous revision (57758) builds fine.

Make sure to update your MacPorts install, this should have been fixed in r58392.

Please "sudo port selfupdate" and try again.
