On fink, we had to reintroduce --disable-corefoundation for the tcltk 8.5.7
package for this reason. Rebuilding the current tcl 8.5.7 package for x86_64
10.6 with -disable-corefoundation is confirmed to fix the problem under 
MacPorts 1.8.1.
