Upgraded to Snow Leopard. Full XCode install Ports installer hangs overnight on "preparing to install"

Should be /var/log/install.log.

Hm. It wasn't running one of our scripts at the time, so I don't know that there's anything we could do about it.

Did you have the iPhone simulator running at the time? If so, could be like a similar issue with Growl's installer.

you are correct, the iPhone simulator was running. once it was closed everything worked fine. thank you!

You should add "Close the iPhone Simulator" to the install instructions page.
