xorg-server 1.7.1.901 not compiling on Tiger (10.4.11)

The last version I installed, which did compile cleanly, was xorg-server @1.7.1_0+macosx .

Not sure if it's relevant, but I am running an early intel Mac, a Core Duo not a Core 2 Duo.
