Your output does not show the problem which, btw, has nothing to do with pidgin. Attach the output of the following: 

sudo port clean dbus
sudo port -d activate dbus

The problem was with freetype. I deleted its plist, and then I think it will work. I think this is a conflict with fink.

Actually, it was freedesktop.dbus-session.plist

We don't support having fink installed.
