Inkscape: failure to install : again with the py25-numpy, py25-nose issues.

Attempted to install port Inkscape, all went well until end:

Error: The following dependencies failed to build: py25-numpy py25-nose py25-xml

Manually installed py25-xml without problem. Attempted manual install of py25-nose and received the following:

Error: Unable to execute port: Image error: /opt/local/bin/nosetests is being used by the active py-nose port.  Please deactivate this port first, or use 'port -f activate py25-nose' to force the activation.

Attempted to "port -f activate py25-nose" and received the following:

port -f activate py25-nose
--->  The following versions of py25-nose are currently installed:
--->  	py25-nose @0.10.4_0
--->  	py25-nose @0.11.1_0
Error: port activate failed: Registry error: Please specify the full version as recorded in the port registry.

1) Should I uninstall the 0.10.4_0 version, then attempt the activate again? 2) Will this solve the problem with getting Inkscape installed? 3) Has the problems surrounding getting GIMP installed been resolved yet? I find no completed or continuing ticket mention other than the items I submitted months ago. Thanks Al
