update with more notes on activation to finish setup.
Please note current port release (2.8.4) is not (easily?) usable now as it seems incompatible with Mysql5 new authentication scheme ...

oops! I forgot one more thing. It would be logical to add mysql5-server as a run dependency as most of the time, wordpress is used with local db (maybe with a variant remote_db without it).
comments ?

Replying to jul_bsd@…:

wordpress can use a MySQL server running on a different computer, hence a dependency on mysql5-server would not be appropriate.

I agree but what is the most usual setup ? is macports more used on desktop or server ? in the former case, both are on the same box, in the latter, if there is good architecture, it's splitted but not always the case.
At least a note could be useful to remind user to choose which setup they want.
