Description
There is a bug in Ice-python, which makes use of async operations impossible in any server written in python. That also includes session support. Details on the bug: http://www.zeroc.com/forums/help-center/5210-ice_ping-marshalexception-refreshsession-python.html Resolution provided by ZeroC staff member: http://www.zeroc.com/forums/help-center/5210-ice_ping-marshalexception-refreshsession-python.html#post22745
The solution works for me, I've created a patch file containing the solution, it is attached to this ticked.
I do realize that it is not MacPorts' bug, but rather an application bug. However, ZeroC will fix the issue only with next release of Ice. I guess there is not harm in getting it fixed earlier in MacPorts.
