Description
Attached is a Portfile for Google's v8 engine (headers, libv8, and sample shell included with the distribution). I have only tested it on my MBP (Snow Leopard).

Is this completely dead? I think v8 port will be very useful.

Hi Solodov,
I am a newbie to macports. I am interested in creating ports for building the latest javascript v8 on OS X. Do you want me to help you on this one or should I just start to work on it and inform you when I have progress? I like to have a v8 with shell access on OS X instead nodejs.

Sure, I don't think there is a reason why we wouldn't add it. It seems nobody had time to take a look at it. I'll put myself on Cc and see if I can. You could also try asking on the macports-dev list.
