This is a cairo bug
It does not depends on glib2 but won't build gobject if glib2 is not installed.

I can't reproduce this problem.
Your configure is complaining that it can't find
${prefix}/lib/pkgconfig/cairo-gobject.pcwhich is provided by port cairo.
However, cairo is declared as a dependency and your log file says it is installed.
So you need to see why that is. Make sure cairo is up to date, etc.
Current version of cairo is cairo @1.10.2_2.
