Hi, I'm trying to install Macports (via the .dmg file) onto a new 2.3 MacBook Pro (2.3Ghz), and am receiving the following error. Althought error relates to ffmpeg, it's basically the same message at the end of the Macports install. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
(PS: I tried uninstalling using: sudo port uninstall macports, and then reinstalling - but same situation every time.)

"sudo port uninstall macports" is not expected to do anything useful. To uninstall MacPorts, read the relevant section in the guide.

Log for db46 is at: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_databases_db46/main.log
You did not attach the main.log so I cannot be certain, but I'm going to assume this is a duplicate of #29115. Please attach main.log and re-open ticket if not.
