The actual relevant error in the log seems to be: 

:info:build OSError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/Users/wes/.cache/g-ir-scanner/06e881d3462dd6af89e7002a4fe05682b10d8021'

So this is probably a consequence of the new privilege-dropping code in MacPorts 2.0.
