dbusmenu-qt: Install fails with an error verifying checksum

Reported by: rick@… Owned by: macports-tickets@…
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.0.2
Keywords: Cc: snc@…
Port: dbusmenu-qt

Description (last modified by ryandesign@…) (diff)

When attempting to "sudo port -f install dbusmenu-qt" the install fails with the following:

--->  Fetching archive for dbusmenu-qt
--->  Attempting to fetch dbusmenu-qt-0.6.2_2.darwin_10.x86_64.tgz from http://packages.macports.org/dbusmenu-qt
--->  Fetching dbusmenu-qt
--->  Verifying checksum(s) for dbusmenu-qt
Error: Target org.macports.checksum returned: does not exist in /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/dbusmenu-qt
Error: Failed to install dbusmenu-qt
Log for dbusmenu-qt is at: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_devel_dbusmenu-qt/dbusmenu-qt/main.log

This is identical to an error which was just fixed for qjson - perhaps the fix given there might apply.

This problem is also documented in a more general fashion in: #31073.

  • Cc snc@… added
  • Port set to dbusmenu-qt
  • Description modified (diff)

Please remember to use WikiFormatting and TracLinks, to fill in the Port field, and to Cc that port's maintainer.

I would love it if we would not expend energy fixing each affected port individually and just release a new version of MacPorts with the fix from #31073.

I have no problem with this ticket being subsumed into ticket:31073
I agree the general solution is always the way to go.
