Xcode was not properly installed. After reinstalling it, I have the following session:

~$ sudo port clean erlang
--->  Cleaning erlang
~$ sudo port install erlang
--->  Computing dependencies for erlang
--->  Fetching archive for erlang
--->  Attempting to fetch erlang-R14B04_1+ssl.darwin_11.x86_64.tbz2 from http://packages.macports.org/erlang

--->  Configuring erlang
--->  Building erlang

It is still a duplicate. The exact same issue is already being discussed in another ticket, #31585.
