Provide list of new ports since last selfupdate

As described in http: comments.gmane.org/gmane.os.apple.macports.user/26112 the GUI Porticus provided a feature where you got a list of all the ports that had become available since the last selfupdate. This feature made it quite easy to spot new interesting software.

Would be nice if the ports command-line provided something similar

You can see which ports have been updated using port -v selfupdate or port -d selfupdate.

Yes, but that includes any changes to the portfiles. It would be nice to distill the changes down to just a list of new ports.
