easytag 2.1 crashes X11

Description

Installed easytag v2.1 on a PPC machine with Xcode 3.1.4 on Leopard 10.5.8. The install went fine but the app crashes X11 consistently. On the command line the error is:

mac:~ doug$ easytag
Xlib:  extension "RANDR" missing on display "/tmp/launch-HfpfkU/:0".
easytag: Fatal IO error 35 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server /tmp/launch-HfpfkU/:0.

The crash report text and console log text are attached.

This is a bug in X11, not in easytag. As a workaround, you could try to use XQuartz instead of the stock X11.app.

That did the trick (using Xquartz from Macports).
