Error: Status 1 while installing apt-rpm

I just installed macports in order to use some apt tools. While installing apt-rpm I get the following error at the 'configuring apt-rpm' stage.

Configuring apt-rpm
Error: Target org.macports.configure returned: configure failure: shell command failed (see log for details)
Log for apt-rpm is at: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_sysutils_apt-rpm/apt-rpm/main.log
Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.

Not sure what to do about this error? Any help would be much appreciated!

Neither are we, until you attach the main.log file which will hopefully contain more information.

Terribly sorry. I totally forgot about this ticket. I've since un-installed macports as I don't really need it. Thanks for following up though! You can close the ticket.
