apr failed to update so I uninstalled, cleaned, and then attempted to install. I get an error during the "configure" stage. The log is attached, but the relevant part is here:

The log says:
:info:configure configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables :info:configure See `config.log' for more details.
So you should check the config.log for more details. Also check the wiki:FAQ#missingxcode.
