Description

Fresh install of root failed. Build preceded by selfupdate and clean --all root. Software stack as follows: macports version 2.1.2; Xcode version 3.2.6; and Mac OS X version 10.6.8.

Same issue as in Ticket #32525

Nothing much I can do, as I cannot reproduce it on 10.7 or 10.8, and don't have access to 10.6 anymore.
