All we do is compile the software the developers provide. If the software doesn't work, report the bug to the developers of the software.

After 8 months still not resolved. I deactivated any writing of metadata to files since then.

It's probably fully relevant of Exiv2 shared library, which is used in background to play with metadata. Please move this file as UPSTREAM in Exiv2 project.

Note : dysfunction is not reproducible under Linux.

Thanks again, Gilles,

This is the exiv2.org ticket from 25 Oct 2013 http://dev.exiv2.org/issues/930

Did you mean, exiv2.org responds on upstreams earlier than on tickets? How do I change my ticket into an upstrem?

Je m'excuse, je suis un débutant avec Macports...

usually (on KDE bugzilla), we close file on upstream, and we link it to external project report.

I recommend to ping again Exiv2 team about this problem.

I know that Exiv2 has some issue detected with Coverity static analyser, but not yet fixed.
