Description

On Mac OS 10.7 using the following version of clang, I get a compilation failure as per the attached main.log. 

Humber:ports williamg$ clang --version
Apple LLVM version 4.2 (clang-425.0.28) (based on LLVM 3.2svn)
Target: x86_64-apple-darwin11.4.2
Thread model: posix

Switching the compiler using “configure.compiler=macports-gcc-4.8” allows the build to succeed.

I don't know whether this measure is necessary on Mac OS 10.x where x > 7.
