A new version of OTB and its application is available 4.2.1. Could you please update the port to this new version.

5.0.0 is now available. Since 4.0.0 does not build with the current version of cmake, updating the port is kind of important.

Ok; but when I list all "all orfeotoolbox" related ports; there is still only one version of it which is 4.0.0... Moreover, the problem specified in ticket #47523 has remained unchanged. How can I use macports in order to install Orfeotoolbox 5?

JFYI: Main blocker - dependency on ossim port (not ported yet to Macports).

It seems that this port is dead: OTB is now at version 6 and macport version is at @4.0.0_3 which is totally outdated, please consider removing this port.

Hi, OTB team provides a standalone binary package which can be used directly on MacOSX: https://www.orfeo-toolbox.org/download/ It can be used to replace this port. Currently the OTB project push the use of this package instead of distribution package. Currently the OTB project provides only support to maintainers and not maintain directly the package.
