Please do not Cc nomaintainer@… because it is not a valid email address.

How should I know it is not a valid email address?! (It could well be an alias to make sure some human sees reports concerning unmaintained ports...)

After all, it is reported when asking for "port info argyll" output, and there is no warning that it is invalid.

That's why we tell you.

When it is released, MacPorts 2.4 will no longer format nomaintainer and openmaintainer as email addresses in port info, to hopefully reduce this confusion.

See also #48575, updating to the latest release may have an effect on this conflict issue.

For now, I've marked the ports as conflicting (r139374). We should report the problems to the developers so that they can decide which of the two projects, if any, would like to rename their programs.

It looks like there has not been a release of num-utils since 2004, so that project may be dead.
