    11Ugg.  The issue is that clang-3.4 falls back on /usr/bin/gcc for ppc.  It was 3.5 that started doing it internally.

     3Try using llvm-3.5 or newer on your SL box.  Make sure you have the +ld64_127 variant for ld64 installed or your linker won't support ppc.
