Hmmm. I see hs-split@0.2.2_3
in the haskell-platform
meta portfile. Perhaps I should consider updating it there, and remove the new submission?
Given some items root appear in haskell-platform
, e.g., hs-split
, while others appear in devel/hs-*
, e.g., hs-aeson
, I admit that I'm not qualified to decide where dependent ports should go in support of pandoc-citeproc
. I am open to guidance, because it is very useful tool.

All ports that are in the haskell-platform Portfile provide the versions shipped by Haskell Platform and should be left as-is (or updated together with Haskell Platform; I have a local patch to do that).
You can provide separate copies of those libraries, e.g. as a hs-split-0.2 port.

See comment ticket:48324#comment:15 regarding possibility of repacking project provided macOS binaries.

I see that pandoc-citeproc
has a stack.yml
file. Would you be willing to submit a Portfile using the new haskell-stack
PortGroup similar to what we're doing in https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/pull/4698?
