BUG: w3m 0.5.1_1 make could not find t-ja.gmo

When building w3m, I got an error when the make process stumbled on a file called t-ja.gmo. Ultimately, I went in and created that file t-ja.gmo in the appropriate build directory (sudo touch t-ja.gmo) and then it built just fine. Unfortunately, I did not know about these pages at the time I did this, so I don't have any screen shots. However, I thought it might still be useful to let you know.

I'm not exactly sure what information you need. I'm running Mac OS X 10.4.3. (Although the reported problem occurred before a big patch from Apple yesterday.)

I believe the GNU dev tools were installed as part of the Apple Developer package (Xcode?). For example:

GNU make 3.80 autoconf 2.50 gcc 4.0.0 (Apple build 5026)

Is this the sort of information you need? Any specific programs? Also, I've seen the word variant show-up while doing darwinport stuff, but I don't yet know what it is. Here is a list of my active Darwin port stuff:

But I had been downloading packages myself from tigerpackages, so there are some things in /opt/local that aren't from darwinports.
