I live in Berlin, Germany. I like to program, and I like working software. Currently interested in Erlang, Ruby, C, Common Lisp, Unix IO APIs, and B-Trees.
Personal MacPorts wishlist
- There should be an automatic build server (ideally with results in a web interface, filterable, searchable and with automatic notification)
- Dependencies don't use variants; fix
- There should be post-activate and pre-deactivate hooks to run port-specific scripts (e.g. to install launchd plists)
- automatically upgrade dependencies before building a port
- port list, info are slow; make fast (using b-trees)
- There should be user messages from within Portfiles which are a bit more persistent, like emails; maybe a highlevel user-message log file is enough
- There should be a tool which finds stale references from executables and libraries to dynamically linked libraries (think gentoo revdep-rebuild)
- make guide use a reasonable (wiki-like) markup, not docbook-xml.
- Feature: Dependencies can use (minimum) versions
My ports are:
libsvm mochiweb rb-mysql rb-rmagick ruby19 tsung tuntaposx
Open issues of these ports:
and
- #43431
- Ports with mysql4 or mysql5 variants and/or dependencies should switch to using mysql57+ or mariadb.
- #53161
- tuntaposx: kernel extensions have to be signed
- #60206
- Migrate kaffe dependents to Java portgroup
- #64275
- tuntaposx: fails to activate
- #64646
- tuntaposx @20150118: fix for Leopard? Previous version builds for ppc but fails for ppc+ppc64
- #69107
- Ruby: perhaps get rid of separate rb19 ports and move those to subports?
