= Project manager duties =

Following is a list of my personal duties as one of the project managers:

 * Set and coordinate MacPorts development goals and guidelines;
 * Manage the MacPorts [source:/trunk/base/portmgr/ReleaseProcess release process];
 * Oversee and enforce [http://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets proper creation] of [http://trac.macports.org/projects/macports/newticket Trac tickets] and, more generally, administer all aspects of our Trac installation;
 * Oversee and approve [http://guide.macports.org/#project.membership team membership applications];
 * Oversee project hosting on Mac OS Forge and coordinate our HostingRequests with our management;
 * Administer the project [http://www.macports.org/contact.php#Lists mailing lists];
 * Administer our [http://www.macports.org/contact.php#IRC IRC channel];


= Current primary project goals =

This is a list of the goals that currently hold my main interest:

 * Completing with Bill, our very generous sysadmin, some of the project HostingRequests we have with our Mac OS Forge host;
 * Implementing the by now infamous LoggingProposal into the core of MacPorts so that we can get serious about constructing a build farm that will pave the way for binary packages;

And, of course, a list of the goals I've already completed:

 * Design and deployment of our new [http://www.macports.org project website] ([source:/trunk/www source]), including a substantially revamped [source:/trunk/base/portmgr/jobs/PortIndex2MySQL.tcl PortIndex2MySQL  script] to feed the [http://www.macports.org/ports.php Available Ports] page on an automated basis;
 * Deployment of our new [http://guide.macports.org project guide];
 * Design and deployment of the [source:/branches/dp2mp-move/base migration code] that fully moved the MacPorts project away from its old DarwinPorts name, at the sources, client and server level, in order to give it its new [MacPortsRenaming feel];
 * Design of the new [source:/branches/release_1_6/base/portmgr/dmg/postflight postflight] script that takes care of setting up a MacPorts compatible shell environment for users installing off our pgk installers, according to a set of [http://guide.macports.org/#installing.binary.postflight.details well defined rules];
 * 1.6.0 MacPorts release;
 * 1.5.2 MacPorts release;
 * 1.5.1 MacPorts release;
 * 1.5.0 MacPorts release;
 * 1.4.0 MacPorts release;
